Ms. Dee began Rhythm ’n’ Dance Academy with the goal of teaching the joy of movement, and emphasizing respectful interaction with children
and movement. It has always been
Deanna’s dream to have her own Academy, and that dream has come true.
Deanna has been dancing since 1979 in tap, jazz, lyrical and hip hop with a focus on ballet and jazz. She has studied and competed for various
studios and has won a multitude of awards in dance competition from solos to group productions throughout the L.A. and Orange County areas.
Deanna also holds a B.A in Dance, from the University of California, Irvine. Deanna has been teaching the art of dance since 1995 at a multitude of
schools and studios all through Orange County. Deanna also successfully managed and taught for HF Dance for over 7 years.
Dancing has offered Deanna many opportunities such as performing in the 1994 Pro Bowl halftime activities alongside the famous guitarist,
Carlos Santana, traveling to San Francisco Bay Area to guest teach during the Summer months, and has also performed in a music video for
Slap Back. Deanna has performed and choreographed for Chase Dance Ensemble. While Deanna teaches at other studios for children and
adults, her main focs is directing, teaching and choreographing for Rhythm ‘n’ Dance.
Christiana has been exposed to music and dance since she was 3 years old, but decided to make the performing arts a significant part of her life
after making the lead in her first musical in middle school. Christiana has been trained in ballet, tap and contemporary dance with a large
emphasis in musical theater, jazz and hip hop. She has also been classically trained in voice, piano and trained in composing and arranging
both classical and modern music.
Christiana danced throughout high school on the dance team and audition for the C.C. Elite All Star dance team her junior year of high school
which opened the door to competitive dance and traveled to numerous states competing in team and individual categories were she qualifying
and competing at the National Dance Team Championships in Orlando, Florida. Christiana intensively studied Musical Theater while attending
Young Harris College in Georgia and participated in numerous plays and musicals including playing ‘Hodel’ in Fiddler on the Roof, ‘Velma Kelly’
in Chicago, ‘Belle’ in Beauty and the Beast, and served as a dance captain and co-choreographer in Oklahoma, West Side Story and A Chorus
Line. She also choreographed performances for the Fall, Winter and Spring Dance Showcases, and won the “Best Choreography” award.
Christiana also led worship for church (singing and piano) for over 5 years and sang in an elite classical vocal ensemble Ambassador Vocal
Ensemble, as one of the key soloists. She has also trained and performed with an advanced hip hop performance company in Georgia, and has
taken master classes at the Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles under choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon D’Umo. Christiana has
been teaching since 2003, and is so excited to share her passion for dance and music with the students of Rhythm ‘n’ Dance!

Ms. Sarah has been a dancing since the age of four years old. Sarah studied the majority of her dance training at the Nouveau Chamber Ballet
under the direction of Lois Ellyn in Fullerton. Sarah has had the opportunity to performed in the Nutcracker for nine years had has performed
various sole roles such as Snowflake, Solider Doll, Party Girl, and the Chinese Dance. She has also performed roles in well known ballets
such as Cigale and Appalachian Spring. Sarah continues to train by participates in summer workshop shows and has performed in A Night in
While attending Fullerton High School, Sarah made the dance team where she performed in multiple shows each year, workshops, and
performances at Disneyland. She made the cheer squad for all four years and was captain for two years. During her four years she won many
awards such as “Most Spirited”, “Captain Awards”, and “Most Dedicated”. Sarah currently attends Fullerton College where she is studying Child
Development, so that she can pursue her teaching career, in early childhood education. Sarah also has extensive dance teaching experience at
various studios throughout Orange County such as Hart Dance Academy & And Dance.
Sarah contributes all of her passion for dance and training to her mentor and long time teacher Lois Ellyn. Sarah is eager to inspire and share
that same passion for the performing arts in her students with Rhythm ‘n’ Dance Academy!

Ms.Caitlin is 21 years old and has been dancing since she was a little girl. She received a majority of her training at Catch the Vision Christian
Performing Arts Studio under the instruction of Julie Valenzuela and other teachers, including Deanna Gardiner.
She performed on the Kid’s Co., Junior, and Senior performing groups and began teaching at age 16. She then received training at Allegria Dance
Theatre under the instruction of Alia Harlan. She was on La Habra High School’s Dance Production for four years and was President her senior
Once she graduated La Habra High School in 2008, she went on to attend the University of California, Irvine where she majored in Biology, and
also received dance training from Israel Gabriel and many other wonderful dance teachers.
Caitlin is in the process now of completing her units in Early Childhood Education. She is grateful and excited to be working with Rhythm’n’Dance
